Going Through Old Photos

So, I was going through some photographs that I've taken in the past year . . . and here's a few I'd like to share. Some have meaning, some don't. I'll explain those that do.

Last year in mid-December, the power went out for almost an entire day. During which I finally got to use a candle holder that someone made me for my birthday.

Now is this food, art, or so much grease you could choke an aardvark with it?

Tribute to Krista's father. Clouds. I also saw this on the way to New Mexico.

Now, I know this is a piece of kids art . . . but to sleep in a room with this on the wall. Can you say NIGHTMARE?

That is a toilet knob. Now, don't they make baby food?

My Favorite Things

There are certain things I love in life more than others. Yes, a friend of mine (who shall remain nameless and blogless) posted about this a while ago, but I recently rediscovered two things I love that are very simple.

1. Eating at a new place where the food is good. (Me and a few people went to Sushi Revolution this evening.)

2. Getting a replacement blade for my electric razor. Which means a close yet comfortable shave the next morning.

Oh . . . and therapy is going well . . . bla, bla bla.

Rainydays and Mondays

I am not a big fan of the rain. I hate it, in fact. And here it has been raining for two weeks straight. However, I do love driving through huge puddles of water. In fact, at times I drive down certain roads when it is raining just so I can drive through the huge puddles. One of my favorites is in the parking lot of the campus building I spend all my time at. The parking lot is like a small valley and of course when it rains, a puddle forms which I have affectionately started calling Lake Parkland. When I walk through it, it goes up to my ankles, however for many of my classmates it goes up to their thighs. Considering I'm at work, I think I'll have to drive by there on my way home. Lets just hope I don't hydroplane. Enjoy!

Trip O' Fun

Well, I made it back from Disneyland in one piece . . . with some fudge, a lot of candy, and a souvenir or two. It was a fun trip, condensed but fun. I'm really excited that I was able to spend some time with my niece and nephew in a fun place. On the second day there was so much we wanted to do and no time to do it in, so I hope we can try it again in the future. Also as a part of The Year of A Million Dreams, a few people in my party got a dream fastpass. For those of you unfamiliar with Disneyland and a fastpass, basically it is a free ticket to get to the front of any ride. Pretty nice, eh? So we got them, used them, and had a good time. Here, look at how happy I was.Oh wait . . . that would be tired. Ah well, it was a busy few days. And now I'm back doing therapy again. I've got to say, I wasn't that excited to go back to work (I'm still not, in fact) but I'm enjoying therapy again.

Oh, and if you're wondering this is how me and my cotherapy partner looked after our first day of doing therapy.

Something On My Mind

Well, this isn't a good story, but it is important nonetheless.

Several months ago I was working with a woman who was extremely stressed about her relationship with her husband. She felt like he was blaming her for everything but she knew better. She actually knew that everything was his fault. While talking to me she attempted to have me side with her regarding the decisions that she made, but I did not. I had no reason to. So as far as I knew, this woman overcame her temporary obstacle and returned to the normal world.

Yesterday I come to work and see this woman again. I looked at her chart and found out she came in because of stress because of the death of her husband. She has been distraught and suicidal ever since.

Isn't it amazing to learn how much you truly love someone. I just hope we all express it and make the most we have with our time together.

Thanks for reading, seriously.

When You Wish Upon A Star

So . . . I got my Disneyland tickets today in the mail.
