Give Me Some Credit

So it has been a little more than a year since my house was broken into my electronics (and scriptures) were stolen.

I have had 'credit monitoring' since that point and I agreed I would do so for a while afterward to make sure nothing happened.

I looked at my credit report and it states my credit score and the reason for the score according to each of the credit bureaus.

With credit bureau A:

"Too few revolving bank accounts, too few retail accounts, too few satisfactory specialty retail accounts and too few bankcard accounts."

I have one credit card and two accounts linked to a card. So apparently that's bad.

With credit bureau B:
"Total available credit on recently reported open revolving accounts is too low, average time revolving accounts have been open is too short."

So I have a low credit amount on the most recently opened account (2-3 years ago) which is more than I'd like it to be anyway. My oldest 'revolving' account was 9 years ago so that means the average time would be 5 years.

With credit bureau C:
"Installment account balances too high in proportion to credit limits, total account balances are too high in proportion to credit limits, too few premium bank accounts."

I charge my expenses on one card and pay off 90% of it at the end of each month. And I have two bank accounts maybe one of which might be premium. Also, I'd imagine this takes my student loans into account. I can't pay those off for quite a while, it SHOULD be pretty high.

So what is a good credit score?

According to CreditReport.com (who knows how reliable this is)
Most scores range from 300 to 900, with the majority of people in the 600 to 800 range. To get the most favorable interest rates, you'll need a score of 720 or higher. In terms of interest rates, a person with a credit score of 520 will get interest rates on loans that are three to four percentage points higher than rates given to a person with a credit score of 720.

So, with what is listed above what do you think my average credit score is?

New Idea

So, this blog has been dead for a while. However due to a wonderful birthday present I decided to take (at least) one picture a day for the next few months, just to see how it goes. I will do my best to take a different type of picture, and most likely something meaningful during the day.

Of those I take, I'll be sharing some. Some will be straight forward, others will not. If you want to know more, ask and I'll share the story (if there is one).

If not, at least you'll have a few odd pictures to look at. Here's the first set.

Brief Hoo-Ha

Hey there,

Haven't updated in a long time. The past two weeks have been good and bad. More so good that has come out of the bad. Oh no, does that mean I'm turning into an optimist? I hope not.

I have found that often I am the exception to the rule. For example I had a contact lens fitting a few weeks back. The new lenses are great and work wonderfully for people. They even suggested I use a new lens cleaner that work better for people with allergies.

Guess what?

I'm allergic to the new contacts.

Small Joys

I was searching through some boxes to find something and I found . . . a CD with the backup of a bunch of files I had in 2002. Fortunately enough, many of the drawings, stories, and other files on there were those that were taken when my computer was stolen. I had completely forgot about the disc.

I'm overjoyed at this discovery. Just wanted to share.

Confession

I watched a movie the other day. I gathered that the moral of the story was as follows.

If you sell bad videos and wine coolers, you're going to kill someone, frame a priest and shoot your best friend.

Be careful.

Just A Thought

It's really nice to have a lot of people that are willing to talk, but sometimes it is also nice to have silence.

Zombie Day

Today (being Saturday as I have yet to go to bed) I celebrated zombie day with a couple of friends. We had food, played a zombie game, watched a zombie movie and had brains for dessert. See?

New Year, New Face

This morning, I had a shaving malfunction. Because of it I saw something I haven't seen in three years.
