I only recently learned the significance of the title of this post. Comically enough, I learned about it yesterday while watching something completely unrelated to the holiday which I didn't happen to actively celebrate. Then again, I did get annoyed that all of my neighbors were using very loud firecrackers throughout the evening and deep into the night.
Nonetheless, I was able to spend some time with my parents yesterday and it was fun.
